Mikey saved the day.
i was leaving for tour the next day, frantically packing, cramming my belongings into storage, saying my “see ya in few months!” and …oh yeah! supposed to submit a song for a film. i didn’t have access to a studio and my computer speakers weren’t cutting it…but i did remember about the little Blue Mikey microphone that was gifted to me at one of the lollapalooza suites. i plugged it into my ipod, gave it a whirl and “voila!” the little guy worked wonders.
i was honestly shocked at how well the violin & piano tracks sounded for my demo (which the producers ended up loving!). in fact, i was so pleased i ended up tossing Mikey into my suitcase and he traveled on the road with me for the next 5 months. whenever i wanted to throw together an idea, i’d hook Mikey to my phone and transfer the tracks to garageband to spice it up. if your’e in need of a quick fix and want something easy to use, portable and quite good soundin’ for a ipod/iphone microphone, you should check out Blue’s Mikey microphone…you too will be unexpectedly and delightfully surprised.
